Launched publicly in 2021, the campaign exceeded its $250 million goal by 10% and advanced TXST’s commitments to its key priorities and initiatives, including student scholarships, academics and research, infrastructure and facilities, and athletics.

“We are profoundly grateful to the more than 53,000 donors whose generosity and dedication have transformed the futures of our university and our students,” TXST President Kelly Damphousse said. “With over 150,000 gifts, ranging from under $100 to the record-breaking $23 million commitment from University Federal Credit Union, we have been able to provide our students and faculty members with more resources, facilities, and financial support. This outpouring of commitment from our alumni, friends, and the entire TXST community, including our faculty and staff members, is a testament to the shared vision and unwavering belief in preparing TXST for the next 125 years.”

Impressively, the campaign raised $42.7 million in its final fiscal year, the most successful fundraising year in TXST history and a 64% increase over the previous year. Donors of all kinds came together to make the campaign a success. Alumni played a key role, noted Brooks Hull, TXST vice president for Advancement.

“Our alumni really showed up for this campaign, contributing 43% of the total giving amount,” he said. “An impressive 26% of the alumni who gave graduated in the last 10 years. That is a strong show of support for their fellow Bobcats and their alma mater.”

Looking forward, TXST aims to maintain the momentum of NEXT IS NOW as it closes in on its “Run to R1” initiative to achieve top-level research status, grow student enrollment, and make groundbreaking advancements to better the future of Texas, the nation, and the world.
